“Chris and I had been members of Prince of Peace for years, but we weren’t involved. We were the family who came to Sunday Mass and went straight home. We often said we didn’t know anyone, but we also hadn’t made the effort to connect. We finally felt God nudging us toward Alpha, and we loved the experience and the people we met. That “yes” led us into the ACTS Retreat, Pathways, and ReachMore. Today, we joyfully serve as a Greeter, a Gabriel Project volunteer, and a Mentor Couple for engaged couples preparing for marriage—helping others feel welcomed, supported, and rooted in Christ. We are truly blessed to be part of Prince of Peace!”

“Somos miembros de Prince of Peace desde hace muchos años, pero por mucho tiempo no nos involucramos en nada y nuestras vidas se sentían vacías, sin propósito. En 2017 nuestra hija vivió un retiro de jóvenes y su cambio nos sorprendió; aunque fue obligada al principio, después ella misma nos motivó a acercarnos más. En 2018 nos dijo que quería servir, y como mamá me uní al ministerio juvenil. Luego vivimos el retiro ACTS y un Encuentro Matrimonial, formamos comunidad, y especialmente en ACTS sentimos un llamado profundo al servicio. En la parroquia empezamos como ujieres y lo disfrutábamos mucho. Hoy servimos como ministros de la Eucaristía, pidiendo siempre al Espíritu Santo amor y humildad. Antes estábamos sin rumbo, pero al servir descubrimos la alegría y la paz que Dios nos quería regalar. Estamos muy agradecidos por esta hermosa comunidad.”

“I’m a lifelong Catholic, retired nurse, mother, and joyful member of Prince of Peace. Though my faith was steady for years, it wasn’t until I attended an ACTS retreat that my heart truly awakened. Here, I found not just a parish but a faith-filled family. Serving as a Eucharistic Minister and retreat team member has brought me deeper into the arms of Christ. Since retiring, I’ve grown in prayer, scripture, and community. Now, each day, I joyfully say: “Here I am, Lord. I come to do Your will.” He truly transforms everything!”

“We’re both recent converts to the Catholic faith. After discovering the fullness of truth in Catholicism, we found Prince of Peace and were immediately impressed. The clergy—priests and deacons—are dedicated servants of God who lovingly guided us through every step of our conversion and continue to be supportive. The lay staff is equally wonderful, including the teachers at the preschool our children attend. Beyond Sunday and weekday Mass, the parish offers adoration, sacraments, formation programs, and many volunteer opportunities. It’s easy to get involved, and we’ve become active parishioners. Prince of Peace is a blessing to the Catholic community, and we are grateful to be part of it.”

“I moved from New Jersey to Houston around May 2023. After visiting various parishes, I found that I am spiritually connected to Prince of Peace, and it has become my new parish. There are a lot of ministries and events here that will help you form your faith. I come almost every day for Mass and adoration. I’m now involved with a lot of the events here where I can share my testimony and find myself starting to serve the youth ministry.
