Learn More About Familias en la Fe
A big reason some young Catholics walk away from their faith is that their parents struggle to show what it looks like to truly follow Jesus. Familias en la Fe at Prince of Peace equips parents with faith, resources, and community support.
Parents are expected to come every week during their child’s faith formation time either as a volunteer or as a participant in our weekly or monthly Familias en la Fe sessions.
Because our Catholic faith is best learned and practiced within families, the Church calls parents to be the first and most important teachers of their children.
To help parents teach the faith to their children, we offer Familias en la Fe sessions, a time when parents can learn how to pass on their faith to their children through presentations, small group discussions, as well as take-home resources.
It is our hope that our Familias en la Fe sessions can address the decades of large numbers of young people leaving the faith (see statistics here).
