In the attempt to care for our divorced or divorced and remarried brothers and sisters in Christ who wish to become fully in compliance with the Catholic Church teachings about remarriage, all previous marriages are valid until proven otherwise through a nullity process.

A trained Annulment Case Sponsor can guide and advise you in every step of the annulment process.

Who Can Begin the Annulment Process

Any civilly divorced person, Catholic or not, may initiate the nullity process by first contacting an Annulment Case Sponsor.

How to Begin

You may contact Annulments@POPHouston.org to set up an appointment with a case sponsor.

The case sponsor will serve as the informational source, guide and emotional support for you throughout the process. They will also help you determine the type of petition to complete for an annulment.
