Catholic Way Bible Study Fall Session: Book of Isaiah

Come join the Catholic Way Bible Study (CWBS) on September 17, 2026 as we begin a new year studying The Book of Isaiah.

In the 8th century BC Isaiah the prophet foresaw the coming of the Messiah as Suffering Servant and King. Through the Holy Spirit he saw the Gospel–The Good News– of Jesus Christ, leading to his writings being dubbed “The Fifth Gospel”. The failings of the Chosen People brought on God’s judgement in the form of defeat and deportation. Yet all along the way the Father is comforting and upholding them–and us–and pointing to the hope of glory of the coming restoration in the messianic age and in the world to come.

Whether you are new or experienced in studying the bible, you will gain a deeper understanding of Sacred Scripture and knowledge of God while making new friends. The cost is only $15 and all you need is your Catholic Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church!

We will meet in the St. Joseph Center in room 212-214 every Thursday from 10 am-12 pm for 23 sessions which will include small group discussion first, then a lecture presentation by Lavinia Spirito.
