Why You Should Donate Blood
Giving blood is a compassionate way to save lives and make a positive impact in the community by providing a crucial resource that is essential for medical treatments, surgeries, and emergency situations.

Anyone 18 and up
Those volunteering at the blood drive welcome donors, manage registration and provide support to ensure a smooth and successful blood donation process.
You may choose to serve at the blood drives which occur usually every other month at Prince of Peace for any period of time usually between 8 am to 3 pm.
Volunteering at the event gives you the opportunity to contribute to a lifesaving cause, making a tangible difference in the community by helping to ensure a sufficient blood supply for those in need.
If you are 18 years old and above, our archdiocese requires all adult volunteers to complete safe environment training.
This short one-hour online training teaches people how to create a secure and protected environment for everyone, especially children, by recognizing and preventing potential risks or harm.

I knew my iron count was getting low and my doctor told me I might need to receive a unit of blood. It was when I received someone else’s blood, that I realized what a gift I had been given. The blood made a huge difference in how I felt and helped me get through the rest of my treatment. I can’t give blood at this time, but I certainly can encourage others to donate. YOUR blood will be life giving to someone you don’t even know. Prince of Peace has regular blood drives and I thank all of you for your time and sacrifice in donating.”
