A disaster response ministry within a Catholic parish utilizes a group of volunteers and parish staff who provide aid, comfort, and support to people affected by natural disasters or other emergencies in the community.

Community-Wide Disasters
For timely information pertaining to community-wide disasters, such as power service disruptions and blackouts, radiological emergencies, or civil unrest, please view the parish website homepage.
Prince of Peace’s response to this type of emergency will remain flexible, depending on the particulars and the changing nature of the event.

Anyone 18 and up.
We assist in various ways such as providing emergency shelter, distributing supplies, and offering emotional and spiritual support to those affected by a disaster or emergency.
When people are affected by natural disasters or other emergencies in the community.
Because this is a way to directly help those affected by disasters or emergencies and provide them with necessary support and resources during a difficult time.
If you are 18 years old and above, our archdiocese requires all adult volunteers to complete safe environment training.
This short one-hour online training teaches people how to create a secure and protected environment for everyone, especially children, by recognizing and preventing potential risks or harm.
