You may buy a $20 raffle ticket after any weekend Mass or at the Mercy Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm until October 3rd.

The winner will be chosen at the Gala on the evening of Friday, October 3rd.
You don't have to be present to win.
The winner will be posted on POPHouston.org that same evening.

The Prince of Peace Mercy Ministry has been serving Northwest Houstonâs needy for over 36 years! We serve one person at a time with great love and kindness.
Hereâs some of what we do:
- We feed 1500-2000 people each month from our various Mercy Food Programs.
- We provide Thanksgiving food and Christmas gifts to needy children each year.
- We annually provide Thanksgiving Dinner foods to 250 families living in the Denver Harbor area.
- We annually provide Thanksgiving Dinner foods to many homeless shelters and halfway houses.
- We annually support 150 pregnant women with emotional, spiritual, and practical help. Gifts like car seats, baby clothing and toiletries, diapers, bathtubs, cribs, and more are examples of the love we share with our âGabriel Momsâ in great need.
- Each month, we interview approximately 50 people to determine if financial assistance may be provided. (The three most common emergencies requiring financial help are: Termination of Employment, Mental Health Issues, and Homelessness). Also relevant to peopleâs income struggles is inflation. Warring countries and political struggles have severely affected Americaâs economy.
- We provide tools for healing with counseling in two languages, employment opportunities, data about budgeting, and encouragement for individual success. Prayer is always offered to those who are open to it.
- We make every effort to provide gift cards to those who need gasoline to get to work or to get to a doctorâs appointment. In 2024, we held a donation drive and collected items for victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. Our efforts transported 7 trailers of donations to people who had no winter clothing, no drinking water, no means to cook, no food supplies, and no housing. They were grateful for our church!
