An ACTS Retreat is a parish-based event which offers parishioners an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus Christ. This in turn fosters a desire for intentional discipleship. ACTS Retreats are given by parishioners for parishioners, and in this way, serve to build Christian community at the parish.

Litanies

Litanies are prayers that consist of a series of petitions and responses. Although there are only six litanies that have been approved for use in church services (Litany of the Saints, Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Most Holy Name of Jesus, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Most Precious Blood of Jesus and St. Joseph), there are hundreds more that can be prayed in private devotion.

Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network (aka The Apostleship of Prayer)

A prayer apostleship focused on the challenges facing humanity. Founded in 1844 by a Jesuit priest and formally recognized by Pope Pius IX in 1849. Ever since, popes have entrusted their intentions to this apostleship. The website has links to a monthly video where the Pope discusses his intention for that month, as well as a “Click to Pray” app for Apple or Android.

The Surrender Novena, by Fr. Dolindo Ruotolo

One of the greatest obstacles to our relationship with the Lord is our desire to be in control of our own lives, our refusal to let God be God, and to abandon ourselves unconditionally to His will. Fr. Dolindo Ruotolo (1882-1970), a parish priest from Naples, Italy, lived a life of tremendous suffering but came to experience deep intimacy with Jesus. His Novena of Surrender is comprised of words that he heard Jesus address to him interiorly, a message which is just as applicable to us today.

Walk to Emmaus

The walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation that begins with a three-day short course in Christianity.
