Winter Weather Update
Fr. Tom's Letter
Dear Parish Family,
As you most likely have heard, weather forecasts are indicating the possibility of freezing temperatures and precipitation affecting the Houston area this coming weekend and early into next week. At this time, we plan to maintain our normally scheduled weekend Masses for January 24th and 25th. However, all parish activities are cancelled.
At the same time, I want to emphasize that we ask each of you to exercise your best judgment regarding your own safety and the safety of others. If dangerous weather conditions, unsafe roads, or a well-founded fear for your safety prevent you from attending Mass, you are not bound by the obligation to attend.
Your well-being matters. Please do not place yourself or others at risk. If you are unable to attend Mass in person, I invite you to unite yourself spiritually through prayer and, if possible, by participating in a televised or livestreamed Mass.
We will continue to monitor conditions and communicate any changes as needed through our parish website, social media, and E-News. Please keep one another in prayer, especially those who may be vulnerable during cold weather.
Also, our parish campus will be closed on Monday, January 26th, which will include all Masses, confessions, and all other parish activities.
May the Lord keep you safe and warm.
In Christ’s Peace,
Fr. Tom
Emergency Management Resources
Loving God, you are our shelter and our peace in every season. Watch over our community during this winter season. Keep all who travel safe, protect those most vulnerable, and grant wisdom to those making decisions for the good of all. Calm our hearts with your presence and help us trust in your care. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
