Building a Culture of Life
Respecting life is more than saying “no” to what harms it. It also means saying “yes” to compassion, support, and justice. The Church calls us to walk with those in need, providing care, resources, and advocacy so that every person can flourish.
Ways to Build a Culture of Life

Pregnancy Support and Crisis Centers
What this means: We help mothers and families choose life by offering real support — baby supplies, counseling, mentoring, and prayer.
At Prince of Peace: Highlight Gabriel Project, Walking with Moms in Need, and connections to local Catholic crisis pregnancy centers.
Get Involved: Donate diapers or formula, volunteer as a mentor, or support local pregnancy centers through parish drives.

Adoption and Foster Care
What this means: Every child deserves a safe, loving home. Adoption and foster care open hearts and families to children in need.
At Prince of Peace: Share Catholic Charities’ adoption and foster services, and witness stories from parish families who’ve said yes to fostering or adoption.
Get Involved: Pray for children waiting for families, support foster parents in the parish, or consider if God is calling your family to adopt or foster.

Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
What this means: Life is sacred even in moments of pain. The Church cares deeply for those struggling with depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts.
At Prince of Peace: Offer parish counseling resources (Rejoice Counseling), suicide prevention helplines, and spiritual care through clergy and parish groups.
Get Involved: Share helplines, attend parish talks on mental health, and support those in your community with compassion instead of stigma.

Disability Rights and Inclusion
What this means: Every person is made in God’s image. People with disabilities enrich the Church with unique gifts and deserve full inclusion.
At Prince of Peace: Highlight ministries for persons with disabilities (Faith Formation adaptations, accessibility resources, parish inclusion efforts).
Get Involved: Volunteer with inclusive ministries, advocate for accessibility, and ensure parish events are welcoming to all.

Poverty Relief, Housing, and Healthcare Access
What this means: Building a culture of life means standing with those struggling to meet basic needs. The Church upholds dignity by offering food, shelter, and care.
At Prince of Peace: Showcase Mercy Ministry programs, food pantry, clothing closet, and partnerships with Catholic Charities.
Get Involved: Donate food, volunteer at the pantry, advocate for just housing, or contribute financially to Mercy Ministry.
Call to Action
Every one of us can play a role in building a culture of life.
Start small — pray for life daily, serve where you can, and support ministries that defend and uphold the dignity of every person.
Together, we bear witness to Christ, who came that all “may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
